You've got the MPH to be running in the mid-12's. Work on that suspension and get the car hooking. If you can get your 60' times down into the 1.7 range, you should see the potential of tha MPH come around in ET.

Good job.

Jeff: Just purchased '91 Lx notch. Will swap motors, work on suspension and install steeper gears. Going for low 12's.

Dude, those are excellent times...if you were anywhere near me I'd say let's go at it one night

Jeff, I don't know how Mustang MPH relate to their E.T.s but based on Fbody times at 106 mph I think the best he can do is a 13.0 or maybe scratch the 12s...

Add Drag radials and things might change...but unless he has AWD (or some serious weight reduction) I don't think he will be able to peddle a 106 mph into mid 12s by just learning to shift better or launch better.

Mike

edit: by the way my best run was exactly like yours

The weight of the vert will be one of the biggest things holding him back. But the 106 shows that he's making some pretty decent HP, especially since the car is probably tipping the scales at 3500lbs. I'd say the 106 indicates 12.7's if he can get the car out of the hole. I was running 12.6's to 12.8's at that MPH when my car weighed 3300lbs...and I was a miserable T5 driver. Put that baby on some slicks and shift it cleanly and it'll be there...trust me.

GT Hunter: Yeah! I'd give you run. Too bad you don't live closer. Actually. I've had a hard time getting a good race since I've been running low 13's. I either win by a substantial margin or get killed. I had more side-by-side races when I ran low 14's.

Jeff: I agree with you that 1.7 60 ft would yield 12.7. Anyway, doesn't matter since the motor is going into the LX coupe as I mentioned earlier. I'm thinking 12.2 @ 109-110 mph.
