For the basics of drag racing, you could check out something like www.staginglight.com or search for drag racing sites on-line. Or better yet, just go out to your local track one evening and spectate.

By 'no electronics', they mean no delay boxes, cross-over boxes, down-track throttle stops, and other mechanisms that give an unnatural advantage towards consistency. Depending on the track, it may also extend to line-lok devices, transbrakes and two-steps.
