I'm not familiar with that particular unit, however the rules for nitrous are simply 1 solenoid for nitrous & 1 solenoid for gasoline. No foggers & 1 bottle.

I do just have an NOS Bigshot kit which complies with those rules but the Mastermind is simply a system to adjust/control the nitrous..kind of like an NOS progressive controller.. It has settings that allow you to retard timing and can also set it to where you want the nitrous (RPM to activate and what rpm you want it flowing 100%. It also shuts of the nitrous system if it reads a drop in fuel pressure. It should be legal because it doesnt create a big advantage (more safety than anything) ...please see what you can find out

Quick, I'd think that it would be allowed. The Nitrous Mastermind isn't a computer controller, nor a replacement for the EEK, nor does it hook to the EEK in any way. It simply controls the rate at which the nitrous solenoid injects N2O into the engine. It works just like a progressive rate controller, except that it also allows you to set when you want the nitrous to come on and off in the RPM band to protect your engine.
Atleast, that's my take on it. ------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Online 1991 Mustang GT - 10.90 @ 122 Mph Built, Blown, and Fast as Hell! |

Dan,
Thanks for your input. I agree it probably is or should be legal but thought I better be sure. |
