POed!
Well I got my rulebook for the 2000 WFC, I eagerly opened it to the pure stock rules...
WHAT?!?!?! Aluminum heads allowed!?!? 75 mm TB?!?! Any cam up to .500" lift?!?!? T-56 6 speed allowed?!?!? Well, so much for the "stock" in pure stock. I was hoping to mabye qualify for the field this year but obviously it's not gonna happen with these rules. Basically a Street Stock class with a CI and cam limitation. ------------------ '88 GT Full exhaust, Edelbrock intake, Accel, pullies, K&N, Eibach drag springs, subframes, 3.55s 13.12/102/1.80 at Byron Raceway [This message has been edited by fiveoboy01 (edited 02-07-2000).] |

That's where I'll be this year.... True Street. Of course, that's because I'm now illegal for every class except Pro because I have a 377 stroker now, and well, I don't feel like racing 7-second Stangs right about now...

Dan:
I agree; I really can't fit into a class that I can be competitive in right now, and in my mind True Street is more fun oriented than any other class. I have been watching the results of the last few True Street events and E.T.s range from 8s to 14s. So I could at least have some fun and not feel like the slowest guy out there. So I am going to try and make 2 FFW events this year; Cordova and Ohio(Norwalk?) Are you going to the WFC this year? How can I get a mustangworks.com window sticker? Do you offer them? COME CORRECT: Look in any mustang mag(MM&FF, 5.0, Super Ford); the ad for the WFC has a number you can call to get on the mailing list. You get a rulebook, hotel list, and a couple really cool stickers. ------------------ 1988 MUSTANG GT Full exhaust, Edelbrock intake, Accel, pullies, K&N, Eibach drag springs, subframes, 3.55s 13.12/102/1.80 at Byron Raceway [This message has been edited by fiveoboy01 (edited 02-08-2000).] |

Not sure about the World Ford Challenge, but I will be going to the Spring Break Shootout for sure. I'll also be at the Norwalk FFW event and the CyberBrawl event racing on team Mustang Works (of course).
Yes, we have had window decals. We are currently out of stock (have been for quite a while). I'm working on getting a ton of new shirts, decals, etc made and hope to have them before the Spring Break Shootout. ------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Online 1991 Mustang GT - 10.90 @ 122 Mph Built, Blown, and Fast as Hell! |

I also saw the Pure stock rules and was floored to say the least. HMMMM! it looks exactly like NMRA's Pure stock Class. Maybe WFC needs to add NMRA's Factory stock class to it's lineup. Just an idea!

You may have more fun in that EFI 13 12 11 class??? Dan ,and the T/S fellas, I got a set of Eldelbrocs finnally! And I bested the stock heads time of mine 12.64 @ 107.99 to a 12.59 @ 108.55 Unfortunately the Eldebrocs with only a decking of .020 and good spings only yielded a 12.80 at 107. I am going to freshen up the bottem and port the fresh alum. If the bugget allows I am looking at a long rod combo???
