How's this for a near stock stang...
My dad's 91GT 5 speed has the following mods:
ASP aluminum underdrive pulleys MAC cold air induction 14* timing electric fan out of 94 tempo 130 amp alt. from 95 V6 stang bassani offroad X pipe Borla mufflers w/ turndowns Comp. Engineering subframe connectors Factory 5 UCA and LCA Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro DOT tires 3.73's Pro 5.0 shifter This week he ran his new best ET- 13.6 @ 98.7mph with a 1.89 60' How's that for a near stock stang?!?! We're really happy with it. Bone stock I ran it to a 14.60 at 94.X. Before the UCA and LCA's, the 3.73's, and fan and alt. he ran a 13.7 at 97.97mph with a 1.88 60'. We have the Holley Systemax kit sitting here just waiting to go on, 12's should be no problem (we hope). He just got the new 76mm C&L for his car with the 30lb tube, but we went and ordered the 19lb one to us now to see how much more he can get out of this car. ------------------ 95 GT convt' 5 speed, 3.73's,FMS HD clutch, Pro 5.0 shifter, ASP alum. underdrive pulleys, Bassani offroad X pipe, 2 chmbr flowmasters, K&N w/o silencer, edelbrock performer intake, FRPP 65mm T-body, FRPP shorty headers, FRPP aluminum driveshaft.Hooker 4pt chrome car bar, Xenon/Wings West ground effects, custom interior Best ET: 13.83 Best MPH: 98.55mph with Best 60': 1.91 on Nitto DR's Homepage: <A HREF="http://www.angelfire.com/pa2/killercanary" TARGET=_blank>http://www.angelfire |

FIVEOTONY-That's one hell of a MPH for a stock 95GT. My 95 vert went 15.2 at 90mph stock. My cousin's 94GT coupe went 14.8 at 93mph stock. What are your current mods? The reason I ask is that I often wondered how fast a coupe would be with similar mods to me given its lighter weight, I always thought it would be right around what you are running.
I can't wait till this week to see if we can improve on the 13.6 in the 91, especially if we get the C&L put in. |
