Cool Launch Tips?

Hey-

Does anyone have any good tips for getting better 60 ft times on street tires?

I have found that I have to launch at idle, or I spin all over the place.

I have a 90 Coupe with 225's on the back and I have found that I get the best 60ft's by airing down to 18lbs and launching around 1600rpm. I have gotten as low as 2.17. Obviously, a lot of it depends on mods you have as far as gearing, suspension, and tires.

Man the best thing you could ever do is get some nitto drag radials or Bf goodrich drag radials or what ever you prefer. I still have my front sway bar in and I have 3.08 gears and I have pulled several 2.19 60ft times, but if you must stick with street tires what I have heard works best is when you stage inch forward till the second light comes on dont go any further than you have to this way you can give yourself an extra foot or so to gain speed before you trigger the clock. Run about 18 or 20 pounds of pressure. If you havent removed the front sway bar yet remove it and you should knock a full tenth off of your 60ft time. I have heard that without the front sway bar the weight transfers much better.
