I'll vote for 3.55's unless your present mufflers are clogged up.

I second GTO's opinion.

Definitely get the gears.....but like 1BAD89, I'd go with 3.73s on your GT rather than 3.55s.

The reason I say 3:73's is because I bought 3:55's and I was running low 14's for a while, and if I would've had 3:73's I would've been running 13's. And the inrease of rpm's on the highway is only a couple 100.

gears are one of the 1st thing that should be done to a mustang, then after that anything you add will just help it more but without gear your not going to get that thing moving. friend of mine went from 3.08's to 3.73's and dropped half a second in the 1/4 from just that change and he has a basicly stock 88 gt.

Default GEARS!

I just put a set of 3.73's in my 95 GT a couple weeks ago. AWESOME! They have INCREASED my fuel economy in town (Highway sufferes a little). I find the car easier to drive, there is less clutch work, and the performance increase was GREAT.

I was thinking about 3.55's too, but I'm glad I went with 3.73's. Unless you only drive on the highway, get 3.73's.
