Default Atmospheric=prformance? How much?

I'm just wondering how much atmospheric conditions should affect performance? I live right down near the coast of Texas and that means almost always somewhat humid and near sea level. Seems like ambient temp makes a lot of difference as to how my car performs at the drag strip. I realize that it affects eveyrone equally in a drag race.

It seems that I lose .5 seconds or more when I run at 90 deg F as apposed to 40 deg F. Is that reasonable or do I just need more work on air/fuel mix? Thanks for any insight on this.

I would lose alot of HP here in phoenix between summer and winter, .5 and 3-4mph. If you can find someone at the track with a portable weather station, ask them what the corrected altitude is, then use this to adjust to sea level

Alot of times, hot and humid are the same as running at 5000+ ft altitude..
