Default safety devices

When i build my car, i am looking for 10 second et's out of it. What i am looking for is a general listing of what safety devices are required at what e.t. for example, 13.99 and quicker, helmet, 12.99 and quicker, roll cage, and so on. i'm not looking for racing organization specific stuff, just a general list. jeff, or anyone?

I strongly suggest that you pick up a 2002 NHRA Rule Book at your local track, speedshop or directly from NHRA. If you're building a car for the 10's, there much more than just the SFI quick reference chart (one is located over on the Fun Ford website). There are also requirements that govern fuel line routing, cage construction, battery location, electrical, brakes, wheel studs, valve stems, etc. Much more than anyone can answer here.

This is the story. I am building a street car, fuel injected turbo. whether or not i get ten's is not really the concern, but more the fact that it is possible with most of the turbo kits available. i won't runm at the track on a regular basis, just a few times a year at test and tunes and stuff. Basically, i wanted the info for those times that i went to the track, so i could make a few runs without getting kicked out. Thanks alot for the info though, i wll get the book and chek it out.
