Post Street Stock

How many cars usually compete in Street Stock? What is the average et of the competitors? Do you think the weight break is enough to justify building a smaller engine? And is it true that fuel injected cars can use a modified upper intake(sheetmetal)?

The S/S class is usually one of the smallest. I've seen as many as 10 but as few as 1. As of late, there's been an average of about four S/S cars at each race.

Assuming the class leaders are present, you're going to need to run 10.50's at about 127mph just to keep up with them.

As far as the rules and hardware go, I really can't help you there...its not my class. I can tell you that the top two guys come from different ends of the spectrum though. One runs a 310ci while the other runs 360ci. They've been swapping paint all season and are locked in one of the tightest points battles I've ever seen.

Contact me via personal email and I can try to steer you to someone that might be able to answer some of your questions.

Sorry about that. Sheetmetal intakes are limited to EFI uppers only. One throttle body of any size. Check George's entry on this site,"2000 Rule Changes", for more info on the Street Stock, sorry, "Street Bandit" class.
