Trophy Stock Transmission
I understand that a T-5 or Tremec or AOD must be used. Can the 5 speeds be set up so the clutch is not needed between gear shifts(Pro-shifted)?
Thank you T/S 90 |

The rules only explicity disallow Jerico's, C4's and race prepped transmissions. Geoge Klass should be consulted about a Pro-shifted T5, but my understanding has always been that it is not allowed.

As usual, Jeff is correct. The rules regarding transmissions says "stock". The insides of the transmissions, however are going to be under discussion at our rules committee meetings for the 2000 rule book.
In truth, it would be tough for us to know that the internal parts are unmodified since we have never torn down anybodies trans (so far). We MAY permit internal mods to the T-5, Tremec, & AOD for next year. Stay tuned. |
