Default What can i expect?

Hey guys, I was just wondering what kind of stats I can expect with my current mods (in terms of 1/4mile, hp and torque). Ive got a 95 gt and have just started on the performance aspect. So far i have a K&N, a 2 1/2" off road Hpipe and a 2 1/2" flowmaster 2 chamber catback.

I also have some underdrives, 3.73's, MAC cold air, and BBK headers to throw in. What will my stats look like in comparision after these are in?

thanks!

Assuming you have a 5spd, you might hit a low/mid 14 at 98 mph, the bbk headers might hurt tourque if they are 1-5/8 equal length, but maybe not, with the gears and sticky tire you might be arouns a 14.1 @ 98, just depends, dont forget free mods, toss air silencer, and bump the timing.

if i were you i would definitely invest in an aftermarket chip, the computer in the 94-95's suck. they retard the timing between shifts (fords way of cutting down on warranteed t-5's) and they have a weak spark and fuel curve. i think the most beneficial upgrade would be a chip. with the same stuff you have. i ran a 14.3, that was back in the day, i have done quite a bit to the car since then.

and the headers are 1 5/8 short tubes.....why would they hurt my performance? the stock headers look brutal and constrictive!

the 1 5/8 hurt your low end torque a lot, hes saying that the 15/8
will hurt your low end worse than 11/2 cause of the bigger tubes, and no back pressure. they will be fine if you plan on putting some high flow stuff on there in the future, but if you plan on staying MOSTLY stock i would go with the 11/2.

Those 3.73's will make the biggest difference of everything you mentioned. My 95 GT completely "woke up" after the gear install. Not only is the car faster, but it is much easier to drive in the city. I think 2.73's are a waste the the metal there made of.

After the gears, the off road pipe will give the best increase in power (which you already have). I'd also watch the torque loss on the headers. With nothing to really restrict your exhaust (no cats, and a 2 1/2" exhaust system) you won't have very much back pressure.

Thats really good to know. I think ill forget about the headers for now then, not worth the $ IMO if it doesnt help my times....esp. if its gonna hurt my torque
