What class?

I am currently working on a 1982 notchback with a 91 front clip. My question is this......What class/classes would I be eligible for? I am going to use a 460, C6 tranny, maybe using a small shot of NOS depending on if the rules allow. I want to race at the WFC, if I am ready, and FFW events. I will also try my hand at an NMCA event.....there will be one in my back yard...Stanton, MI. Any help will be greatly appreciated...or e-mail me at LXCoupe460@aol.com

Thanks, Jon Ellerhorst

The 460ci motor keeps you from fitting into most of the FFW heads-up classes. The Street Outlaw class is limited to 450ci. The FFW classes are limited to small-block motors. You could race in the Quick Ford or Fast Ford bracket classes at any of the events though. You might also check into the NMRA or NMCA classes to see if there's something fitting.

I think that there's an NMRA event in your neighbourhood this upcoming season also. Check into their true street or radial tire classes.

Jeff, I'm not sure because I don't have the rules right in front of me, but what is the new limit in Street Bandit? I thought that the moved the cubic inches up quite a bit, but I'm not sure. You should be O.K. in that class as long as you don't use the spray.

Yes, S/B is a possibility if the spray is left off. S/B is the only class that doesn't specify a small-block motor so I'd assume you could run a big-block. The deck height is limited to 9.5" inches.
