who runs the stock brakes on there drag car?
Is anyone still running the stock size brakes on there drag cars? Im doing a 86GT for Street Bandit, and I really dont want to upgrade the brakes...see my post in the winsdor section...

I do, but it's only a 13 sec car...

Im still up in the air on which class to build the car for. Street Bandit will be in the 9.8s soon, so it will take a real car to even keep up.

Beni, I still have the stock brake system on my car. Still works fine for me, but I haven't gotten the pulleys I need yet to make the full 18 to 20 lbs of boost I'm going to run for track duty, and I'm still limited to 10 lbs right now. I've gone 10's already though now and I haven't had any problems. The cars an EASY mid-9 second ride once the boost is there, so time will tell!

I think the 87 - 93 stangs had a larger caliper and or rotor, easy up grade if I am correct. My brakes work just fine, I can hit the first return road if I want to.
