Blue Oval Converts

I recently convinced a buddy of mine (once a chevy hard-core idealist

) to buy a 87 Black Mustang GT. He got it with a clutch going out for about 3k and has about 1k now to put into it. For the longest time he was looking for a Cobra Mach Jet or a Trans AM. Well nothing wrong with GM's but I convinced him for the amount of $ and such on his budget the Fox would do him best. He's now about to put in a new racing clutch and such. Gotta love converting people

way to go i was a chevy boy for a long time, nothing against them, just found out that ford's are better suited for me, treat them right & they run forever. lol i have yet to blow up a ford engine, more than i can say, for all the chevy's i locked up. but i would rather have a gm, than rice .

I am a recent convert as well. I was strictly a GM (Ponitiac) man. I have had two pontiacs, one chevey (three hondas...After I got married

) the fastest was my '67 Chevelle SS with a 396 punched out to a 402. It was a track car that I illegally drove on the streets--Johnny Law finally did catch up with me). My 69 GTO torched itself in a parking lot.

The Mustang is my Fav. I wish I got one sooner....better late than never

I have had 4 Fords. An 86 f150 lariat, 88 ranger, 90 gt, ad a 93 f150. I have gone through 7 tranny's and 6 motors between all of them, and I will never own anything else. I guess I am crazy, but I love my car, who has occupied 3 of the tranny's and 2 of the engines, and the truck, 93 f150, is great. Everyone I know who has gone from chevy to ford says they will never go back. Maybe it's a sign.
If you can be good to a ford, they will run frever, I just have a tendency to beat on them. Maybe I'll grow out of it sooner or later and save money, but, for now I'm having too much fun!!
