Default Another Combo question.

I am looking to turn my 1994 mustang into a car that I can drive whenever not just a drag car. Is this a good setup: 351W SVO block, AFR 185cc or 205 cc heads, Trickflow Intake. Not sure what cam. I have Flowmasters on the car. I am putting 3.73's in the rear. I am also going with a 6-speed trans. I am also putting a Paxton Novi 2000 blower on it. Anythoughts wouold be apprciated.

I want a car that will beat most Ricers. Thanks again.

A healthy 351w in a mustang should never need a supercharger to beat ricers. Are the ricers in your area really that fast?
As far as your comb goes, I'm in the same boat you are...looking for a strong combo to put together for my 351w
What you have listed so far sounds good. I think 3:55 gears would be a better choice if you plan on supercharging...IMO

Damn! A novi 2000 on an already badass 351! Thats gonna be one mean pony man. I dont think youll have to worry about too many other cars with that thing, especially sorry a** ricers! Hope you get that thing finished soon, John

Everything sounds good so far. Just be careful with how big of a cam and heads you go. Before you know it, that 351 won't be suited to go to the store or such. You don't have to go overboard with a 351 cuz they already have a big bore and stroke.

I appreciate the responses. I am just sick of all my buddies haveing the fast Cobras and Vettes. One has a 96 Cobra with 150hp shot of NOS and another with a 98 Cobra getting ready to put a Vortech blower on it. I want a car that blows by them. I want it to be good on the road so I am not sure what Cam to use.

PS. 88Workcar I am a guy. That is a pic of my two favorite things in the world. My girl first and a far second my mustang. I am sure if I was a female I would be flattered.

Wow, that's gonna be a sick car. As for the cam, anytime I see AFR's listed, one name and one name only comes to mind...
http://www.flowtechinduction.com

Ed set up my combo, and as you can see by the sig, it runs very, very well for being nearly 3700lbs and on the stock short block!!! I don't think you'd have problems with your buddies nor the ricers with just the well built 351... but with the SC...
