Post Best E.T. so far. Fontana Dragway!

I got there this morning at 6:45 am. Left my apartment here in Oxnard at 5:15. There was less than 300 cars there so I got 2 Runs in before 12:00 when I had to leave.
********* RUN 1 ***** RUN 2 ******
R/T .709 .637
60' 2.300 2.171
330 6.164 5.966
1/8 9.291 9.055
MPH 78.69 79.64
1000 11.991 11.726
1/4 14.274 13.987
MPH 98.77 99.78

Overall, I was real happy to get into the 13's with a heavy conv. with AOD. I still have to really baby it off the line or I will spin hard like I did the first run. I really eased into the throttle the second run and did pretty decent. I had the tire pressure at 20 psi. Now I just need some control arms, sub connectors, drag springs, 90/10's, 50/50's, Roll Bar, Tubular K- member, Weld draglites, Mickey Thompson E.T. streets, blah, blah, blah, This is addictive!
By the way, there were alot of stock LS1 Camaro and Trans Ams there running mostly 13.7 - 14.3 at 102-105 mph. So compared to them I didn't do so bad. Also a new 2001 Cobra was running 14.1 - 14.2 at 98 mph.

LX 5.0, FRPP 302 longblock w/Y303 aluminum heads, E303 cam. 93 cobra intake, 65mm TB, 73mm MAF, 24lb injectors, 255lph fuel pump, Aeromotive AFPR, Underdrive pullies, Motorsport ceramic coated shorty headers, Bassani X-pipe w/converters, American Thunder Cat-back, Lentech AOD, Alum. driveshaft, 3.73's. Best E.T. 13.98 @ 99.78mph w/ 2.171 60' (Fontana Dragway 10/06/01)

Sky - The track is real nice. I don't like the way everything seems set up so temporarily though. They only have one set of bleachers and there is not a display for the times yet so you have to listen to the announcer to hear how fast the cars went. Or you can tune your radio to 104.7 which is pretty cool. I like it a whole lot better than LACR and it is pretty comparable to Pomona. Those are the only other tracks I've been to and between the three, I like the set up of Fontana alot better. It's easy to get to (it's only about 1 mile off the 10 freeway) Today (Sunday) was the last day for the year. It starts back up in January. Hopefully I can do some more mods to my car and get a low 13 time slip before they make me get a roll-bar!
With your cousins mustang that MPH is not that bad considering the aerodynamics for the older mustangs is not that great. What kind of exhaust does he have? What intake and carb? Distributor? Ignition? Rear end gearing?

I just wish they would allow slicks. I couldnt hook up there at all. I spun through first and second then bogged 3rd to a 14.0 @ 101 wihout powershifting it. I wasnt pleased.
