Finding Fuel Sending Unit?

Anyone know where I can get a fuel sending unit ( not the pump) for my '83 5.0. I have tried Ford but, they say it hasn't been made in a while.

You would think I could use one from a 84 or 85 but no such luck.....any thoughts I really need one?

Salvage yard.

Try a local salvage yard search engine. They should be able to locate one from arizona or something to ship up. Probably be the entire tank though.

You've tried all the parts places?
