Default 01, 02 Mustang GT 1/4 mile times?

Hello Boys and Girls, I used to post here a while back and have always found this place to be a good source for mustang information. I am having a little discussion on another message board with some fools who are trying to make the new GT's sound slow. Now, what I am looking for is just your personal track times just to get an idea of what these cars run in the real world, I have always considered them to be high 13 second cars, but some people just won't believe it. So let's hear it folks, what did you run stock? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I have always found good info here, feel free to move it if you must.

Thanks Guys

A friend of mine ran 14.1 @ 98ish or 99 with a bone stock '01 GT Conv.

Another guy at the track got his '02 GT coupe to run a best of 14.2 stock, but his '99 GT went 13.9 bone stock...hope that helps.

These were all 5 spd cars.

Your average 99+ will run a 14.2-14.4...

Bone stock you're talking about really high 13's to low 14's for hardtop 5 speeds. Most of the guys at my track in stock/near stock form are in this area.

Lizard King (member of this site) went 13.67 or 13.76 in his former 99GT green GT. He has an 01GT now I believe.

It's nice to frequent this board to see what the enemy is up to!

Don't have a Ford obviously but everyone's posting low 14 to high 13.

I've personally spoken to a witnessed 14.2-14.5 for a stock 99+GT. I actaully beat one at the track, I was pretty impressed. But on the other hand it is alot of the driver.

14.2@99 with a 2.3 60' when she was stock. I know for a fact that I can launch much faster now slipping the clutch than I did back then either spinning or bogging each time, but low 14s is what most decent drivers seem to get.

A guy at my work in his '01 GT convertible 5 speed ran a 14.2@??
A general consensus is that a hardtop 5 speed can hit high 13's stock in good climates, autos hit roughly mid-high 14's and convertibles are a little slower since they're heavier, but run maybe a couple tenths slower than a hardtop as a general rule.

Most of the ones I see at the track run low to mid 14's, I have seen a few dip into the 13's with minor bolt-ons, I would think a great driver under the right weather conditions might be able to pull a high 13 out of a bone stock GT!

Default "01 coupe AOD

I ran against an 00 or 01 coupe with AOD at the local track (HRP). He did have a K&N and pulleys. He ran 14.23 @ 96-97 mph.
