'02 Gt

I have a stock '02 GT that occasionally stalls for no reason. There is also no set time for it to do it. It has happened on a full tank and empty tank, accelerating and braking. I posted this in the tech forum and did not get any responce, so I was hoping that maybe someone here could tell me whats going on.

Thanks

Take it to the dealership. It should be under warranty...

I want to know if anyone else has had this issue and if you have what was done to resolve it. This way when I go to the dealership, I have something to go to them with.

I had this kind of problem. It was an automatic 1988 Jeep Wrangler though. I haven't heard of that kind of problem in a manual. Maybe the clutch is having trouble engaging????? But yeah, take it to a dealer.

I have a 2002 GT, and it never stalled on me yet. Take it to the dealer to get it looked at.

I used to have a 1987 Jeep Wrangler, and it stalled like that. The mechanic replaced the ignition module (made by ford) under the engine coolant resavour and it fixed that problem.

I had a 99 GT and it was a lemon from day one. I had the same thing happening with it. Just out of the blue it would die. I wish I could tell you what it was, but I can't. The way I fixed it was by getting rid of the car. The dealership I delt with wasn't very good at finding any of the problems I had with it. Have you had it back to the dealership?

Thanks for the info. I will let you know what Ford has to say about it.

Hey man. I see you are in lakeland. DO you ever go to Moroso. Maybe we can meet up there. Let me know.

I wouldn't be able to get down there this month, but I will let you know when I am going to be in the area. It would probably be late summer before I could do anything. We shall talk more about it as time gets closer.
