What's the difference between 95 GT and 95 Cobra?

First let me nbe clear, I am talking about the Cobra NOT the Cobra R. I have decided to look at the 95 model year only in my hunt for a Mustang. When looking, I found there is not a big price diffence for a 95 GT or 95 Cobra so I was wondering what the differences are between the two. I've gone to many websites and the only differences I can find so far is that the Cobra has larger tires, 25hp more, no (difference in torque)and coated gears in the T5 with larger bearings. If there are more differences please let me know.

Are there any general reasons one is prefferable over the other? I figured since the Cobra cost more when new, there's a chance the Cobra would have been bought by an older person (on average) and perhaps beat on less.

Thanks,

Ron B.

94 and 95 Cobras are kinda rare also they have a different intake and a different computer and maybe some other stuff. If your going to mod the car you get get a GT

That's what I was going to ask... should you get a GT if you are going to do mods or a Cobra/Cobra R?
Which would turn out faster?

off the top of my head differences:
65 mm TB
GT40 Heads
Cobra Intake
Bigger brakes
Different Cam

There are a number of posts of this nature, do a search and you'll get every difference.

I've heard that the Cobra's were underrated, but havce no personal experience with them.

From my personal experience I'd have to say go with the GT. A good friend of mine owns a 94 Cobra and there just isn't much too them other than the name. It's not extremely quick, in fact it can only pull 1/2 a car length on me. With that said, if you have the money... get the Cobra. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif There's something about that snake on the side that gets attention, even if it's as slow as a GT.
