I've got a '97 with 40K and I have not had any problems.
How much are they asking for it?

Check it out, drive it. There's a recall on the parking brake. Other then that, there are no common problems. Very nice car.

I have a 96 Cobra, I bought it with 19,000 miles on in and now it has 24,000. I have had no serious problems to speak of since I bought it. The only problem I have encountered is that my pinion seal is leaking, but ford opted to pay for 80% of parts and labor. I would reccomend the Cobra, it is pretty fast, and fun to drive.

Not to flame anyone, but I'd hold off on buying a 99 Cobra. I'd either get a 99+ GT and put a Vortec on it or get a 96-98 Cobra. Or if you're really patient, wait to see what the 2003's have to offer.

I'd say wait on the 99 too. I may be alone here but I think it may take a year or two to "feel out" any problems in the new Cobra. On another note, I am selling mine soon. Interested????
