Question 140 4bbl intake?

Looking to do the impossible -- build a fast 79 4cylinder coupe. I need to locate a 4 barrel intake manifold for a 4 cylinder. Anyone got ideas?

Steps for building fast 4 banger stangs.

#1 Throw stock motor away.

#2 Locate a Merkur XR4Ti or Thunderbird T/C to get a new intercooled turbo 2.3 out of.

#3 Convert the drivetrain of the said donor car over to your '79.

#4 Add additional mods to the 4cyl as needed.

#5 Run 12's and 13's.

Enjoy!

BTW, did you post this in small pony's? I know I know, it's dead, still there are some people who've done this.

go to www.racerwalsh.com, they have alot of special 4 cylinder stuff for carbureted 2.3L engines (alot of their business comes from circle track racers, apparently). I have a 1998 catalog and they have anything you can imagine for 4 cylinders (they have a manifold you can bolt webers to, and one that's a 4BBL manifold). It costs $3 and is well worth every penny.
