15.289 stock!
Yeah im the driving master! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif
two weeks ago I ran 15.28 in my stock civic!!! Time for some mods! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif I also went to a little 1/8 track... and on a run I beat a 97 Mustang with 4.10 gear... dont need to say he did not have traction at all! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif but I manage to beat him by a BIG 0.003s! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif so my new best times are 1/8: 9.810 1/4: 15.289 still slow... but damn fast for a stock 1.6L! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif ------------------ 2000 Honda Civic SiR 15.289 @ 88.688 mph (stock) 1989 Ford Mustang LX Coupe 5.0L (RIP) 14.120 @ 98.126 mph |
Not bad I ran 15.4 in my bone stock 1994 integra LS.

Wow, prior to this, i had said to people that the civic si was a solid 15.4 car, but i wouldn't call your car a "stock civic", its a "stock civic si". Shows your at least a good driver, now hurry up and get some mods.
|
Please pardon my ignorance. What does an SI have that other Civics don't come with?

hmm lets see!!
What Civic Si have and other civic dont have: DOHC 1.6L 160hp engine, 4disc brakes with ABS, front upper strut bar, rear swaybar, 15" wheels and a 8000rpm redline! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif In my car I have... electic sunroof, A/C, 4 disc brakes with ABS, 2 airbags, power windows, heated mirror, close ratio tranny, fogs lights. I think thats about it!!! And thats all standard equipement... only option is fogs light. I didnt get the rear spoiler!!! ------------------ 2000 Honda Civic SiR 15.289 @ 88.688 mph (stock) 1989 Ford Mustang LX Coupe 5.0L (RIP) 14.120 @ 98.126 mph [This message has been edited by Special K (edited 05-19-2001).] |
whats this world coming to http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/confused.gif
------------------ 1995 gt convertible: 3.55 gears, underdrive pulleys, cobra intake , fenderwell cold air, 65mm throttle body, 75mm mass air meter, off-road h pipe, borla cat back, 155lph fuel pump, yokohama a520(drag radials) 275s, 5 speed conversion with t-5 and all ford racing parts, and a dino tuned diablo chip done at strictly performance in houston |
Not really too much different than 30 years ago. I had a 1971 Fiat 124 Sport coupe with a 1.6 L DOHC and a 5 speed (uncommon then). It weighed in at 2250 lbs. It would haul a$$ for those days after I tuned it correctly, probably low 15's. Handeled and stopped well too. Very undependable though, forcing me to get rid of it. That's where the Jap cars have an advantage. They are relatively trouble free.

You know what??? i really dont think you should waste money on mods for the civic. Spend that money & get your stang in the 12s.
thats all i got to say 'bout that ------------------ 1988 Mustang GT, T-5 3.08's, No Smog Pump (Shorty Belt), Dumps At The End Of Stock H-Pipe, K&N Air Filter (Stock Air Box), Removed Air SilencerMy Stang My Site (Not Done Yet) |
Man that is a killer time for a stock civic I did not realize they were that fast. If I would have been lined up next to you I would have been thinkin that i was gonna smoke you and been surprised as hell http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/eek.gif I know a guy with an si civic but his car is slow cause it has lots of weight in the trunk a boomin system.

Nobody has called BS on him either.
Now I say, look what a stock Mustang GT can run with a good driver. Can we say 13's? |
Wow, you're a heck of a good driver. I was at a huge NIRA race at Engishtown a few weeks ago and there were a number of SI's w/ bolt on's only puling mid 15's to mid 16's, with more in the 16's then 15's. It was perfect wether too. 60 degrees and no humidity.
Good job. ------------------ 1997 Thunderbird 4.6L: Dynomax exhaust, Lightning 80mm MAF, Accufab MAF adapter, 7" powerstack cone filter, B&M 24,000GVW trans cooler, Inject-Tech chip, many more to come...15.2 @ 91. Not bad for a 3800lb auto 4.6L No Longer own: 91 LX 5.0L 5 spd |

Is the SiR the same thing as the U.S. Si? I notice you live in Canada.

Inferno, i hate imports, i hate em i hate em i hate em, so if you want to go out & build a rice rocket, be my guest, but dont look for respect from me when you do. why not spend the extra $25 & build a real car?
p.s. im not trying to start a flame, i just hate to see money put into that jap-crap |
sorry man, i didnt mean to say all that, i hate import drivers that think there king **** & cant be beat. i hate there attitude, no respect for anyone or anything. as for building a fast import... well i take that back too, i love to see fast cars, but i like mustangs.

The truly saddest part is his 1.6L is a mere tenth or two from my 4.6L ;(
Now that pisses me off. |
BLAH BLAH BLAH

HAHAHA!!! Funny guys!
Say Special K was that at Napierville or Sanair? Congrats on the amazing driving dude. You must of had the car tubbed out though like seats and everything right? Nevertheless it is an awesome time. The track I ran my 2 13.6xx is Luskville (local) ... it's the worst track ever. I can't wait to get out to the Montreal area (Napierville or better Sanair) to get my 13.5. Maybe we can meet up sometime. Did you go to Napierville on Monday (that big import show thing)??? ------------------ http://members.mustangworks.com/liza...rdKing_sig.gif 13.66 @ 100.3MPH, Stock (except for K&N Filter) • Quartermile run |
Damn, Dustin, was that post by Unit really all that inflamatory? All he really said is that a stock GT will run 13's with a good driver. I personally don't believe that most will, but it was just an opinion. Not really punkish from my stand point.
Rev ------------------ '66 Coupe, 306, 300 HP, C-4, 13.97 e.t., 100.3 mph 1/4 mi. |
Rev..yeah I was a litle bit harsh...Unit, my apologies. I was in a terrible mood this morning, and was easily peeved...my et tranny brokelast night,so I am not too happy. Again sorry guys.
