150 SHOT of NITROUS KICKS A$$!!!!
I just tested out my system, got out in 2nd gear, and punched it.. i got shot forward to redline in just 1 second, shifted to 3rd, went to redline in about a second and a half, got in 4th.. just held it to about 4500 rpms and let go.. i was going WAY to fast !!!...
this N20 stuff is insane. My setup is a NOS sniper kit, 150 shot WET plate system (edelbrock 600 cfm 4barrel carb) MSD 6aL, msd blaster efi coil. Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind. two holley red fuel pumps in-line. 3/8 fuel line all the way up. BG Adjustable FP Regulator Crane 2040 (E303) roller cam. Crane blazer roller rockers. Ported stock heads (exhaust side only) FMS drive shaft. bbk shorty headers, bbk off road-h pipes. 2 chamber flowmasters with dumps. 89lx coupe, 5 speed, 4.10 gears. eibach drag springs. what do you guys think i'll run in the 1/4 mile with a setup like this? Marty, Nitrous works makes an awesome kit for your car, there is a girl in a recent issue of MM&FF who is on the 50racing mailing list.. she's running in the 12's with everything else stock, just a dry shot !!!
87capri... PLEASE DO NOT GET A SNEAKY PETE ! that is not really a nitrous system, YOU WILL NOT FEEL the effect of such a small system on a v8. i got the lowest price kit from NOS.. i dont know if they even make the SNIPER anymore... either way, when you use spray, spend a little time, and lots of $$ to make it fool proof... the jacobs mastermind comes with everything you could want for nitrous all in one package that is adjustable from the dash. 1. timing retard up to 15 deg on the fly.(adjustable) 2. nitrous RPM activation switch (adjustable) 3. nitrous power output control (adjustable) 4. rev limiter that shuts off the nitrous 50 rpm before the actual rev limiter hits, prevents buildup of nitrous and stops all backfires (adjustable) 5. built in safetey pressure switch connection so it shuts off the n20 if the fuel pressure drops.(adjustable from the safety switch itself) 6. adjustable rich/lean controller for the fuel solenoid. (adjustable) JACOBS KICKS *** ! (and so does NITROUS) FORD !!!!!! |

sneaky pete sucks A$$.
DO NOT GET A SNEAKY PETE ! GET A REAL SYSTEM and you'll make MORE POWER, and the bottle will last much longer, a sneaky pete only allows for 1 or 2 runs.. or less maybe.. who cares. FORD ! |

Traction will be a problem, if you can get that thing to hook, you'll have a monster. I was running a 114 trap speed in the low 13's with a 125 shot. I only used it in 3rd and 4th gears tho, I had trouble with my 60' and 330' on motor let alone try it on juice.

Spanked me an LS1 Trans AM tonite !! WOOHOOO!!!
i was launching really slow as not to hit WOT in 1st gear.. then, in second, i punched it, and it spun to redline instantly.. so i had to shortshift to 3rd and it bogged before the window switch.. then finally the nitrous came on after 3200 rpms and i caught right up to him and just passed him by a little bit in 4th gear... we did an all out top end run.. all the way to 5th gear (3rd race but it didnt get filmed until the end) and i whooped him nasty.. he did beat me in the 1/4 distance though... still, my first LS1 kill !! WOO HOOO!!! wait till i learn to use second gear.. on thursday nite, i'm going out on my hoosier slicks.. we'll see if i spin second gear.. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/maximv...oo!%2bPhoto%2b Album%26.src=bc%26.view=l CLIC on VS BATTLES. hmm.. talking about suspension mods..
here is what i have... 1. eibach drag spings. 2. 4 cylinder struts. 3. battery in trunk, passenger side mounting 4. removed rear steel inner bumper. 5. stock upper and lower control arms. i have absolutely NO wheel hop with or without the nitrous. when i spray, i either spin, or i dont, but i dont wheelhop its incredible.. but true. i'm just a little worried about my stock clutch going out with the slicks... but i'll only use them to help me come out of the hole hard (without the spray) and then spraying in second gear... with just 4000 rpm launch on slicks, i can put 3 cars on any ls1 right out of the hole.. then imagine 150 poines spraying in second and up ! haha it'll be total devastation for the ls1 !!! FORD ! MUSTANG GT.. the 150 hp wet sniper kit is under $400. but it does not come with a safety pressure switch, and it doesnt come with a bottle pressure guage. the bottle is also empty when new. make sure you get that. also, DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE ON ANY NITROUS LINES... use teflon paste instead.. the little tiny bits of tape that rip off when you screw/unscrew the fittings ends up in the solenoids and clogs them... the teflon PASTE is much better for use on nitrous lines i suggest that you buy a good high volume fuel pump, and a bottle pressure guage, and a fuel pressure safety switch, along with a window switch and make sure you have a good msd ignition system, and cold spark plugs, no less than #7 NGK plugs or equivalent. btw, this is a CARB nitrous plate system. it is not going to work with any efi setup.
