I guess the new LS6 intake and better cam have no effect? The newer C5's and F-bods are quicker because of these parts.
It's common knowledge that it adds a couple hp. And the new cam isn't really better.

It is common knowledge the newer LS1's make more power. Almost 10-20rwhp more on avergage. You want to dispute that they are quicker go ahead. My experience as with many other people have found the newer LS1's are tougher competition. If your experience is different then good for you.
I dyno'd 304rwhp stock, I haven't seen one stock auto Ls1 dyno 324rwhp. I didn't say the pre 01's are quicker than the 01's+, your just implying that pre 01's are SOOOOOOO much slower, which is simply untrue. Yeah it is good for me.

You misunderstood my first post or maybe it was a little misleading. I wasn't trying to imply that the older cars are MUCH slower. I was just saying that the new cars seem to be quicker. Not a bunch, just a little.

I think most of the LS1's in the 98-99 era were 280-295rwhp. I'm not too familiar with the 2000's in general but I've heard they are faster than the 98-99's. Your dyno numbers back that up. The 2001's+ seem to dyno 300+ to 315. This is the news traveling around anyway. My feeling is they probably have more torque with the cam and intake. The C5 benefits this way and I would think it would trickle down to the other cars.

We pull up to HWY 80 and he gets in the turn lane to go left. I decide "What the Hell!" Maybe he will race me. After sitting at the turn lane for awhile revving at each other, we get an opening. He turns and I follow.
I stay in first gear and pull into the right head lane. He also stayed in first gear. SWEET!!!!!!! He is ready and willing. I was about 2-3ft away from his front bumper, when I punched it. The tires barked and I heard his almost like an echo. I slowly started to pull on him. I speed shifted into second at about 6500 rpm. I bark them and the SS barked them for a little bit longer as he shifted into second.
I was up to the middle of the passenger door, when I went into second. I kept the car floored. I am still pulling on the SS. By the time I speedshifted into third at about 6300, I was sitting on his front bumper!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we slowed down bc of traffic.
I was happy, I got to finally race that SS. Even happier that I got to beat a GM product. LOL. My second camaro kill. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!
How fast are those SS's? I didn't think that my car's mods would let me pull that good.
The only thing I have against those SS camaros is the one sided exhaust. I don't like that. It had duals on one side. Just weird.
Milktasd

Congrats on your kill.
Think you can take my 97 SS ???

Thumbs up Actually

I would like to. I have raced a 30th anniv. package SS and I won. Maybe he was not a good driver, but I pulled on him up to about 90 MPH. I had to stop bc of traffic. I started behind him at a 20 MPH, about 1/2 or 1/4 car length behind him and finished ahead of him by about a 1/2 a length. He has a stick, a different exhaust(probably only a muffler), but other than that I think he was stock.

But back to the challenge. "Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I love racing GM. Just pissed that most of them I lose to. They are all heavily modded, if not outright drag cars.

Right now my best run is a 12.93@ 110

I usually am in the 12.9-13.2 range. With my Mods

What are you running on your stang?

To bad we live so far apart!!! It'd be a good race probably!

Red face Jesus!

I think I am a little out of your range. I have not been to the track but I was told my car is probably only good for a mid 13. I only have 3.73, subframes, underdrives. I think you would beat me. But it would be cool to watch.
