You misunderstood my first post or maybe it was a little misleading. I wasn't trying to imply that the older cars are MUCH slower. I was just saying that the new cars seem to be quicker. Not a bunch, just a little. :p I think most of the LS1's in the 98-99 era were 280-295rwhp. I'm not too familiar with the 2000's in general but I've heard they are faster than the 98-99's. Your dyno numbers back that up. The 2001's+ seem to dyno 300+ to 315. This is the news traveling around anyway. My feeling is they probably have more torque with the cam and intake. The C5 benefits this way and I would think it would trickle down to the other cars. |
Now I agree with that.:)

Actually
I would like to. I have raced a 30th anniv. package SS and I won. Maybe he was not a good driver, but I pulled on him up to about 90 MPH. I had to stop bc of traffic. I started behind him at a 20 MPH, about 1/2 or 1/4 car length behind him and finished ahead of him by about a 1/2 a length. He has a stick, a different exhaust(probably only a muffler), but other than that I think he was stock.
But back to the challenge. "Hell Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I love racing GM. Just pissed that most of them I lose to. They are all heavily modded, if not outright drag cars. |

I usually am in the 12.9-13.2 range. With my Mods What are you running on your stang? To bad we live so far apart!!! It'd be a good race probably! |
Jesus!
I think I am a little out of your range. I have not been to the track but I was told my car is probably only good for a mid 13. I only have 3.73, subframes, underdrives. I think you would beat me. But it would be cool to watch.
