2 Kills
Well i went to pick my girlfrind up at her dom room and began to hed home to spend some alone time with her. While sitting right in front of our local cop shop I heard a deffening roar from behind me. It was a beautiful orange Chevelle 454 SS. We left the red light and got beside each other at the next. He then proceeded to ask me if I think I have anything for him. So we decided to race. I gave him a 5-6 car lenght hed start and then unleashed fury!! He never knew what happened I doored him by about 15-20 car lengths in our little marked off 1/4 mile. He didn't believe me when i told him my car was naturally aspirated!!!

So you put 15-20 lengths on a 454 SS?
I'll believe it when I see your mods.

454 SS could be a LS-5 which we be 375hp 400 tourqe
or the LS-6 which would be 450hp and 450tourqe these are stock figures and those engines were way underrated explain your story more and your car's modifications before people start flaming you

I think that what he forgot to mention is that the guy pulled into a driveway and stopped after he gave him his head start. That way I can see him getting that many carlengths ahead.

I DON'T THINK SO
So let's see here...5-6 car lengths head start?? Why would you give any big block a head start? Then you claim you beat him by 15-20 car lenths?! That's a pretty big guestimation...5 car lengths of a difference?? Let's get this straight...with the head start...you beat him by possibly 26 car lenths?? Ha-ha-ha! I don't think so! What do you have...about 900 horsepower?! LOL! We all love whooping on Chevys stories,,,but try to keep your stories a little more realistic.

He guys sorry i didn't post my mods when i wrote the thread i am new at this computer thing. My mods are as follows:
I have a 10.5:1 D.S.S. pro bullet 306 with a set of stage three ported holley systemax heads, a stage three holley systemax intake, a custm ground comp cam, 30# injectors, 13/4 long tube headers, flowmaster catback and BBK h-pipe. My rear has 3.73 gears moser 33 spline axles and a spool. I have a 70mm throttle body and a pro-m mass 80mm air meter. My tranny is a Bob Hanlon built world class t5. All port work was done by Excessive Motorsports. I am currently running a Jacobs Electronics Ignition box because my MSD box burnt up. I also have a MSD Pro Billet distributor, and Taylor 409 wires. I have ran the car once with street tires and ran only a 13.1 but my MPH was 115-117. which with traction should be a mid to high 11. |

hey man I don't know what his problem was maybe he lied to me when he said he had a big block car. But i do know one thing he was a ways behind me. And after we raced he said he was going home because I hurt his ego. So maybe he will not be so cocky the next time he lines up against someone

Hey all you guys knocking me i wish you could ask him foryourself. He said he never lost before and that my car was the fastest street car around. Of course i know that my car is not the fastest thing but he was sure talkin it up. And by the way why did you guys think when you hear the word big block you automatically think it is super fast??? Most big block chevelles only ran in the mid to high 14's. I know a lot of guys with lots of different cars and just because it is a big block does not mean it is fast. Sorry about your guys luck if you have raced a big block car and lost but??? My co-worker has a 69 396 Camaro and the fastest time he has run with slicks is a 13.76 @ 102. He has a couple of bolt ons too. Also I know for a fact my car hooks up better on the street than the track. so you take a 12 sec pass and compare itm to a mid 14 sec car and as the faster car passes the finish the slower car is only at the 1000 ft. mark. So that means he is a football fields length behind. How many car lengths is football field??? It doesn't really matter to me if you believe me or not but their are not many fast cars around my area that aren't trailer queens, and the guy in the Chevelle was really amazed.

Sorry it took me so long to get on here Brad.
Let me put this into perspective for these guys from an observers stand point. I'd say it looked like you started 4-5 car lengths behind him (on the roll, looked like about 10-15mph) and by the 2nd underpass your were an easy 12-15 cars ahead of him maybe more. I can point to the spot where he was when you cleared the underpass. Maybe we should go down and measure the distance sometime this week. I think I'll take a crack at him as soon as we fix my fuel issues. I don't know whether to tell my Supra story or not since your story was so quick to be doubted. Guess Beef and I (and the fellow in the supra) will be the only people to ever recall how it went. BTW, thanks for not dropping my video camera out with Beef's hat. LOL LOL. |

We were so quick to doubt him because he told a story, then never backed it up when asked about his mods. There are one too many ppl who think they are fast, and make up fake stories(ricers) so we wern't sure.
