Unit

I dont have a 4.6 ego, I own Mustangs that have the Modular, and the grand daddy 289 pushrod.

I love Fox body stangs as if I owned one, but I have never seen or heard of a stock fox body LX or GT run in the high 13's or low low 14's. Hell, for that matter, I've seen tricked out 5.0's with 3:73's (manual tranny cars) do no better than high 13's.

Thats kinda like the claim by the GM guys, that there show room stock Z28 can run high 12's

And Lighter, isnt always better. For example, my old Stang. Its lighter than all the above, its more powerfull than all the above, has awesome wieght transfer charectoristics, but with no traction, a Dodge Caravan could beat me in a race.

One Funny thing about people driving the new GT's make the cars look bad because I noticed MOST of them are afraid to take the engine to it peak power engine speeds. They shift at 5000 when the car peaks out at 5850, and optimum shift point is like 6100.

I dont think either is going to walk away from one another, I think it will be pretty darn close, depending on how well the guy with the 2001 drives.
