Default 2nd Time at Track & New Best Times

The first time I went to the track last fall my best was:
14.272 @ 101.2 with a 2.313 60 foot.

My best today was:
13.769 @103.22 with a 2.203 60 foot.

The only difference was a new set of tires in the back. I still need a lot of work on my 60 foot, but I was glad I dropped over 1/2 second. I'd like to see that trend continue!

Thumbs up

Good Work! What kind of tires are you running? Are they "tires" or "slicks"?

Shogun - I was in the blue coupe with the chrome Cobra rims. I made about 12 runs.

Which stang was yours? I noticed there were quite a few Mustangs out there. I had a lot of fun again and plan to go back a couple of times this summer. How often do you go?

Nitrous Al - I was running some 3-year old, rock-hard 245/50/16 BFG Comp TA ZRs last fall. I picked up some 255/50/16 Sumitomo HTRZs for about $90 each from the Tire Rack. I'll never buy BFGs again, these Sumitomos hook harder than those BFGs ever did.

Nice Times. I hope to improve as much as you did your second trip to the track.

I'm going to remove my front sway bar, and Tim C talked me into getting LakeWood 70/30 Struts for my next mod. SInce I got the power, I just need the help of hooking it up to the pavement.

THats something I could sure use also. 24,000 Mercury Driven Miles on a set of tires....There Pretty Wore out.

If I were you, some 4.10 or 3.73 gears would be next on the list. Best bang for the buck.

I was thinking gears also, but that wont help me hook up at the track, or on the street. Although the combination of New Tires, and Gears would probably work nicely.

Default Cool

I have the white 90 GT with the blue plate "SHOGUN". We ( my buddie and I the black 95 Cobra with the white hood parked next to you for a while. As far as how often we go? We go as often as we can generate interest. we live in Bellevue so its quite a drive, However I would love to organize a mass Mustang gagle to Scribner! To put those F-bodies to rest once and for all! Cool we'll have to hook up sometime.

ERIC looks like ur cars doing good, all you gotta do is get the driving down and get some traction and you should be down into those deep 13's.
