2nd2none is now 2nd to SisuStang!
I've been going onto a local street racing message board lately & they had a small ,err, "gathering" this past Wed night. I was invited to attend...
Originally I wanted to run this guy that had a Viper, but it turned out that he couldn't make it - had to work late or some such excuse. Oh well, I thought, I'll just have to wait for another day until I can finally run a Viper... Anyways, there's a guy on this message board that goes by the name "2nd2none". He has a '95 or so LT1 Trans Am. It has a 383 stroker, Procharger & a small shot of spray, to name a few of his goodies. Many thought that he's the fastest guy on the website... Well, we ended up lining 'em up. On the first run, he jumped the start (the flagger was still raising his arms!), but I launched after him anyway. We both suffered severe tire spin ('twas a cold night!). When we hooked, roughly at the same time, I started to pull on this guy, but then he blew the 3rd gear shift & let off. I thought to myself, hmmm, this guy ain't all that fast. He's supposed to make 580hp to the tire without the spray. I thought that it would be close, but that he'd still pull on me a little. Well, we lined them up again. This time, he wanted to go from a roll. I said sure, & I even gave him the jump. Well, we both got a little traction, and I was pulling on him in every gear! I had a car on him by the end of the race. When we got back to the parking lot, he was grumbling that his knock sensor retared his timing to 9.5* or something like that. I just smiled & shook his hand. I later posted on the message board that next time, no excuses or you'll have to change your name (& license plate!) to 2ndtoone heh heh heh! ------------------ 91 coupe 3.73's,long tubes,3" exh, ported stock t-body,ProM-77mm cobra intake, edelbrock heads,B303,1.72 rr's 36lb inj's,tremec, & a Paxton NOVI 2000!!! 10.946 @ 131.00 on BFG Drag Radials (275/60/15) [This message has been edited by SisuStang (edited 09-07-2001).] |

Awesome. Cool to take a big dog down eh? With a plate like that he is probably kinda cocky. Those are the guys that you act like they know more than you and are "superior". Bait 'em into your web and GOTCHA!!!
I kinda do that with my 12SECGT plate. I say it runs high 12's if they ask at a light or something. I had a guy on a sportbike give me the brush-off waive that way. We ran, and I had him the whole way. ------------------ 1988 Mustang GT 11.8 @ 123 (7/14/01) 1992 BadAzz Wrangler 1993 Explorer See my car at: www.mustangworks.com/cgi-bin/moi-display.cgi?179 |

Yeah, I was pretty quiet about what my car could do before we ran. He was taking people out on rides, etc. He wasn't so cocky after I pulled on him! It was great!

Dang, you guys are the big dogs. Coming to join yas soon though. Thanks for showing him your Mustang tailights.
I bet the LT1 guy had lots of excuses for his buddies too. He's probably scambling to find a bigger shot of nitrous for next time. Oh, and the Viper guy is just a scared punk. ----------------------------------------- 351W-powered 1979 Ford Mustang notchback Stock 5.8L under custom made 4" cowl, C4 w/ shift kit Holley 750 cfm, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake 1 5/8" MAC shorty headers, Al driveshaft 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters Front: 225/60/15, Rear: 255/60/15 Eagle GT II Weld wheels (15x6;15x8), 8.8" Rear w/ 3.55s 14 x 4” K&N air filter. There's a guy around here in some fart canned ricer with the plates "V8 TZR", well for some reason he won't mess with too many modded stangs or chev's... Sometimes its all just in the attitude I guess.
