well, even with a stock motor (+ bolt ons) I cant get traction in first at all. Off the line I burn the tires going off Idle then punching it and even when I do get a good start the tires let loose at about 4600-4700 rpm. This happens with the drag radials at normal pressure (38#), with the tire pressure down (18#) and even (last night) with a 4 second burn out with the pressure at 18#, same results. And yes the tires still have life in them.
I had a launch where I bogged, then spun got, traction and then spun again at 4600+.
Maybe I need to be easier on the trottle.
