3.73's vs. Cat Back exhaust
here's my problem there's a place near my that installs 3.73 gears for like $300 but i also want a cat back system to make my car sound better and also since my stock mufflers are starting to rust out and will most likely need new ones for inspection. Sorta hard to decide. Any input is welcome. thanks

the gears will give you more bang for the buck than the cat-back. It will really wake your car up.
The cat back is cool, but mostly all you will see from it is the nice sound and of course the inspection thing. My choice would be for the gears. XR1stang |

In your case I would get the exhaust I always fix the broken stuff before I do other mods. Or you will end up like the rednecks around here with a 12 second car that looks like its worth 500 bucks...JMO

Yeah go with the cat back, if your mufflers really are rusted out pretty bad. Flowmaster American Thunder cat back runs like $226 from jegs/summit.

Gears would definitely do more bang for the buck, but since your exhaust is rusty, you gotta replace it.
