35th aniv SS
ok i know i don't stand a chance but here it is. ex girl's dad bought a 35th aniv SS, its a nice car i'll give it that, but its an auto?!? her, nor her Bro, or dad dosen't bracket or even street race. i saw the specs for the 6 spd 35'th SS. but how much of that power is there in an auto? my other ex girl friend said i have good R/T and i know my 94 auto can't take it yet, but i'm rebuildin the power slowly and economically; reworked heads ,cold air, pulleys, etc. an i jus wanna know what it'll take to hang with it.
also if you could tell me a good place to start findin power |
What's your car run in the 1/4?
As for the auto, it will actually help an inexperienced driver rather than hurt. Easier to launch and truthfully, the autos are no slow pokes. If you're going to give it a run, I would suggest that you practice a great start/launch and keep the race under a 1/4 mile (they'll start to run you down). From the looks of your modifications, I would highly recommend a set of gears. Auto = 4.10s; 5-speed 3.55s or 3.73s. Good luck, E |

also an auto is much better for a daily driver, like it sounds like this car will be used for. no clutch to deal with in traffic  |
The big question is what have you done to your car so far? Your sig says Mustang GTR, what is GTR?
If you are very close to stock (by your sig you have ported heads, pulleys, Cold air?) you're screwed. You're going to need Good heads, intake, cam, exhaust, gears, etc, to keep up. Or a Power Adder like a 75 Shot or blower. Even then you'll need a little more than a stock engine and power adder to take a new SS. Those SS's are pretty quick, but if you can get 280-310 HP at the rear wheel's you'll take him. IMO |
