35th anniversary limited
Why does no one bring up the 1999 GT 35th anniversary limited editions?I own one and after 3 years it has 20,000 miles on it and its still valued at 21,400 dollars in the NADA book. You can find it listed under classic and exotics. Its not listed with the cobra and other mustangs.

What do you want use to bring up about them? From anything other then an appearance aspect, they are the same as any other GT. And most questions around here are tech questions, so if its a 35th or not doesn't usually matter.
My brother has a silver 99GT auto with the 35th package and he has about 8000 miles on it. Man, I love that interior. But the car's original owner kept the "thank you package," that sucker, lol.

I think it was just a plug for his 99 that he wants to sell, and why for 21400? nada or not, I can get a new 2002 for that price.... might wanna come down a bit. not a collectors piece unless it has no miles

I dont write the books or set the price, NADA and the fact that it is a rare car is what determines its price.
You want New then buy New the fact that this car hasnt depreciated in value in 3 years is a pretty clear sign that it will start appreciating in the future. As far as the 21,400 did you see anywhere in my post that said "I want 21,400 for the car"? I simply stated a fact that this car in mint dailey driven condition is valued at 21,400 by the North American Dealers Association. The car in average condition which by NADA standards is in need of some restortion or light work is worth 17,000. The car in piss poor condition is valued at 14,000 by NADA. Better get your facts straight before you start talkin crap, your so called just another GT is worth 14,000 in Premium condition. |

I agree that the 35th Anniversary model is very nice, you don't have to justify that to us and you certainly don't need to act like a used car salesman to sell it in this forum. If the car is so valuable, why sell it at all?

The only thing i dont like about mine being black is the blacked out area in front of the hood scoop doesnt show up well and the blacked out taillight panel.
But just so everyone knows,im not pushing to sell the car its in perfect condition and i love it,but cars are just another commodity to be bought, sold, and traded so for the right price i will sell it. |

The 35th Ed car is sweet no doubt, but thge car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. |

Why is the 35th so special? Just because Ford decided it was a good time to put out a neat Mustang? I'm just wondering. I had 30th, the last 5.0L, first of the 94-98 body style, GT. Unfortunately, I got it used with lots of miles. But the blue book price with about 93K miles is about 6500 in fair condition I believe. Not too too bad I guess. Sorry, this post really has no relevance, just wanted to (*sniff sniff*) talk about my old 5.0. . Those 35th's sure are nice!

uhhhhh perhaps because they were the last of the cars built in the 1900s ending an era as well as the fact that it just happend to be the 35th anniversary on top of that?

Even the Black special 35th Aniv Ed GT's had the black out decals on them.
THey have the side scoops that became Standard on 2001 GT's, there the only 99's to have the hood scoops, they have a black HOney comb grille on the back, have leather interiors with Silver leather seating area, and door panels, a alinum shifter knob (Round, like the Bullits). I know I'm probably forgetting a thing or two. |
