Default Went to see 1971 Charger dyno (videos inside)

Hi,
My friend knows a kid who owns a 71 Charger. Out of
weird coincidence, I met thise kid as well through #musclecars
on EFnet IRC..

Anywho, went down to Speed Zone dyno here in Brampton
to see the pull. I doubt its the best place for a dyno. Paid
$50 for one pull (guy didn't even tune but just checked timing)...

Man this car is awesome...freshly painted Sublime green and
and re-built motor (440ci 0.30 overbore). Just needs tuning to
get all the horses out... He pulled 296.7rwhp @ 5056rpm and
329lb/ft (forget what rpm)

The ride in the Charger is awesome too...I'm gonna be there
next time he goes to Cayuga.

Ok, enough talk...here's the links to the videos:

http://www.cubicdesign.com/vic/index.html

BTW, The camera does no justice to the sound. You have to
be there in person to hear this beast open up.

Bye!

i know what you said. he didnt tune his car. but even if he got 325 at the wheels that is pretty sad for a 440. nice car though.

What? Are you mad? Sublime green works so well on that
car. I love it. I'm glad he chose that over any other colour.

That car just owns the street it drives on; nothing but looks
and thumbs up.

Gotta love that...

But yea, he's gotta do something about gettin more ponies
out. The other guy watchin the dyno said he saw the tires slip,
so I dunno if thats coulda been the reason for any power loss...
I dunno...

296rwhp and only 329lb/ft on a 440ci is just pathetic...

Bye!

Just something not right about it. Maybe it needs some wheels...yeah, some nice wheels and a bumble bee stripe, then it could pass, but I dont like it the way it sits now..not in that color.

what do the rest of you guys think?

I kinda like the green color on it. But i am not a big fan of that body style Charger i like the 68-70's more. Still a sweet car though

Hi,
Oh yea, he definately needs wheels. He still has the stock
14" with 225s or something. It just makes it look weird;
such a big car and tiny wheels...He's considering getting
the so called cop-wheels.and painting the inside area sublime.

WHAT!! , Look I know it's tough being a kid with all the bad rice influnce around when you own a real muscle car but, that would be a very bad step in the wrong direction. Painting them black or even argent will help to offset all the sublime IMO.
If he paints them sublime whats next, a giant Skittles logo across the hood?

MOPAR!!!! Sweet ride. Looks great in green, sounds good on my computer speakers, and yes needs the bumble stripe. Oh and would look nice with the cops wheels painted the same coloror a set of Mopar Ralleyes would look way sweet! But then what do I know about Mopars?

Ok you dont have to get mad about it lol. You didnt say IMO to the part about those wheels being ricey so i figured you didnt know some cars had them from the factory that why. Simma down lol.

I think it looks good in that green (ordinary red, blue and black gets kinda boring after awhile dont ya think?)

Or is anything out of the ordinary rice?

Later,
Nick

yeah, but the shade of green that resembles infant crap doesnt do it for me. have you ever changed a diaper? There are plenty of pretty shades of green available, why go with that?

Well, I guess Im the only one who doesnt like it.
