Question anyone know? (kinda long)

Oddball question here, but very important...Does anyone know if you could verify a vehicles mileage through State Inspection records? Reason...on a carfax on my car, it shows a span of 4.5 years(the time the prev. owner had the car)where the mileage increased only 16,000 miles. I bought it w/ 75k showing, and i have reason to beleive the odometer rolled over before it got to me. It was sold as a 76,000 mile coupe for $7500. I got the shaft, not to mention that its highly illegal to falsify mileage on a Title. Any help is appreciated !!! Thanks in advance !!

Why do you find 16,000 miles in 4.5 years that odd I only have 9,000 in 4 years? so What make you think it has 100,000 more miles on it??

what year is this horse, at least 87 and up that i know of have 1 million mile or km odometers! not likely did that roll. it could have been tampered with but that mileage doesnt sound unreasonable.i only put on about 6-7000 km per year. they are real hard km's though but you cant see that. the car looks almost new. 134000 kms.1988 gt, still has a slight new car smell too.dont do the math for mileage some years it was driven all year round.
