94 Integra vs 98 GT
 

Im going to race a guys 1998 Mustang GT w/ exhaust in my bone stock 94 Integra LS.

The Gtech's been telling me that I ran a best of a 15.12 in 38 degree weather last night. So I wan to see if its real. I road in the GT it surely feels faster than my 4 banger but we will see. What do you guys think?

I drive the holy **** outta the 4banger.

Is the Mustang a Auto or Stick? If it's an auto, I think you have a decent chance at him. Imagine the look on his face...

If your Integra is running low 15's in this cold weather, imagine what the Saleen would run :D Would probably love this nice cool air.

I dunno.....if it is a 5-spd and he sux balls at driving then you could have a shot....if it's an auto then you might possibly have a chance....if i absolutely had to pick a winner i'd say the 98 GT....but it'll be DAMN CLOSE!!! prove me wrong man. even though i feel bad for the stanger....i gotta show the love for my MW family....hehe.....good luck.....

put your slicks on your integra:) then you'll take him for sure! j/k. if he only has an exhaust then you have a good chance at beating him, especially the way you drive:) good luck and let us know the results!

Make sure that you buy some "Powered by Acura" stickers first and put them on your quarter windows, then buy a "Type R" emblem to put in place of your "LS" on the trunk. Then you will probably easily beat him. Also if you are willing to spend the money, buy an Iceman cold air intake. I have seen some Import Magazine's Dyno tests on those and they add like 3 hp to the wheels!!!!!! j/k

Hey Sky, why don't you pick up that Cobra 4.6 you were talking about and put that in the Integra?

Yeah, its sad, I don't wanna beat a mustang, but I just wanna see if this little rice rocket is really doing as good as the Gtech claims. I'll be fixing up the Saleen tomrrow, its gonna love this cold weather. I'll gtech it also and see what I get outta it.

But the GT is going to have the same cold weather as me so it might beat me. It definatly felt faster when I rode in it, but driving and riding is a different perspective. Its a 5spd.

I'll try and get a video of the race to post too.

I think this rice thing has gotten the better of you! I mean let's think about it.... Your going to race a Mustang in your Integra. Sure, it seems innocent, but that's how it all starts.

You need to get your Stang fixed and your dillusions will be cured.

I couldnt find him last night. That chicken, scared of 1.8L of fury, haha.

Well the Mustang is Fixed! Its up and running, maybe I should tell him to meet me and just show up in that, haha.

Changing the starter and solinoid was the absolute easiest thing I've ever done on that car. 1 hour was it. Took most of the time gettin it up on the jackstands.

6T9 Pony...Take it easy man. We let LS-1 Guys in, and there cool . We have Import guys here also. Inferno.

I've raced alot of imports, and some of them are actually cool people. There more likely to give you a thumbs up after a race, unlike the middle Finger I get when racing LT-1's and LS-1's, most of the Time. :D

well it's 260 stock ,apperently we have very restrictive exhaust manifolds because headers add 30 Whp 23% loss through the 5 speed AT...granted the big gain is brief and up top 6200, its an average of 7-8 also a CAI its about 12hp... 8 to the wheels...ofcourse springs but understand im as far from rice as one can get my car ,you wouldnt think was running t idle at cruise still smooth just alittle hint of power ...my springs are only 1.0 front and rear...most wouldnt know it was lowered which is what i wanted...no stickers..i have one more mod that'll be here any day now some of you guys (excuse my ignorance) have a dual stage induction system...this part im waiting on takes advantage of this by increase the volume of air entering 10 hp and best of all 15lb.ft the entire range and only 300$

hey take it easy...im 33, and as far from rice as you can get...i thought skyman got his mid 12's with the bottle...still he would beat me ...figured the 80 shot to be good for a one sec. loss, so mid 13's ,and i'm mid to low 14's no wing no effects...i was thinking it would be fun, plus given, im in florida, and he's in cali... unless we pull a cannon ball run, doubt it'll ever happen:D

Well it rained last night so we couldnt race. Its on as soon as the streets dry up.

Type R- Yeah, I run 12.5's off the N20. So it probably wouldn't be very close.

260 hp stock is pretty impressive. Definately a sharp car - and luxury to boot!

sky - Dude! You have got to bolt on some slicks up front and see what your Integra can do! That would be awesome. BTW, what is the approx. weight on the Integra?

while im at it, some of you may or maynot know ,the type R tradition at honda, isnt too unlike SVT from ford ,true type R's are messaged for more power remove unnessicary weight (sound deading meterial ,A/C...etc..) better suspension exhaust tires
Now a type R badge slapped on a civic DX is just wrong ...Im sure you guys have come accross some idiot that put an SVT badge on a GT or LX even...

Yeah Ive run about 6 12.5 runs at carlsbad.

The 60's are all around 1.72-1.69.

Eric- I don't think slick would help my car much, I can launch it and slip it out from 5500 with minimal spin, I think they would just cause it to bog. Im not gonna spend the money on it anyways.

Its clearing up today though so maybe I can race the GT.

6T9Pony apolgized. Obviously, HE felt he was wrong in what he did so why did you even post this? I wasn't the only one who felt that his comments were out of line, but I am the one that you spoke to. There was no reason to insult him before knowing all the details about his car and mods which imo is flaming for no reason. I came to this board to learn more about Mustangs and to provide correct information about imports to the uninformed. I feel that all us car guys should get along and what 6T9Pony did was wrong. Talking about putting svt symbols on a gt or lx. Even worse here in stockton there was, i'm not sure if he still has it on but it was an 89 lx with a honda symbol on it. He's an asian guy that works or owns a performance shop. Pretty stupid if you ask me. But... it runs 12-13 's motor and he has a bit of the giggles also. I'm thinking he's snorting it because from what I know he sure as hell doesn't use it.

Then that would be a problem. Type R said nothing about expecting to win the race, especially when Sky squeezed the Charmin (Bottle). :D He said nothing offensive, well that I saw. Maybe I just read into his post what he meant.
