LT1's are high 13, low 14 sec car's stock. A 94-98 GT is high 14' low 15 stock. A GT's gotta make up nearly a second just to run with one. If by modded you mean full exhaust, gears, intake, then yeah, a GT can run with one, but for a GT with flows, a K&N and a shifter (most "modded" GT's out there
) an LT1 spells trouble.
