A second gen Lightning runs a from a mid-13 with a good drive to a 14 flat with a not so good driver. So yes it your a killer driver you could take a lighting in mildly modded GT.

Yes you can get 13's out off a PI GT 5-speed. I've seen many run in the 13's with mild mods (H-pipe). And I've seen a good number run high 13's with free mods and killer drivers.

MustangMom2K has run a 13.94 in her mildy modded GT auto. Stoplight Warriors auto GT ran a 14.4 with a 2.3 60-foot when it was stock. Lizard king was ripping 13.77's in his stock 99 GT 5-speed. Need I go on or are you belittled enough already?

And why can't a K+N be considered a mod? Did cars come stock with K+N filters? I didnt think so. Sure it doesnt add much if anything but it isnt stock so that counts as a mod in my book.

You said a 5-speed averaged a 14.5.....a 99+ GT 5-speed averages around a 14 flat in the real world. And a auto 99+ GT does not run a 15 flat....it runs more like a 14.5. Good drivers can get a high 13 out of a 5-speed and a 14.3 or so out of a auto. A new GT that runs 13's with a good driver isn't a factory freak. I've seen many do it.

While second gen Lightings are easy to tweek. A chip, a pulley, and CAI it's gonna net "84+" hp. That's a ad, the info is gonna be fluffed up a bit to sell you their products.

he MADE me do it! i was driving on a road when he saw me at an intersection . he turned the same way i was going when he saw me then and started to stalk me . he was giving me the Gas and pull-away , back and forth, so we first went at it from about 30mph , then we caught a redlight and went at it again , then i turned onto a highway and he STILL followed me on to it and waxed my *** up and down it. trust me..i didnt start with him , i just took the bait

I know, if you look at the back of a Car and Driver magazine, you'll see that the Mustang GT is quoted as running 15.1 in the quarter. :)

Of course you could use the arguement that he lives at higher attitude, but you should quote car as running "X" time because obviously it will artificially squew the times. And this guy is sticking to firmly to his "15.0" for me to think this.

kid, you control the car. how new are you to this game? anything wearing a SVT badge, will pull like a mutha on anything lighter than a SS or a zo6 or a reel heavily modded fox, its a factory race car, an if your gonna race you better be aware of the high power monsters that'll eat you up with lil or no mods..let alone somthin that comes standard with a supercharger. never EVER get sucked into a race. when that happens you let the other guy determine the stakes regardless if you know what they are. **** happens when you are not in 100 percent control of the situation at all times..do i pick on z06's? or vipers(hell even a modded fox)..no i know my limits, an i know what my car is capable of doing. grow some stones an have the courage to walk away from an invitation to disaster...unless your prepared to accept the consequneces. trust me, you an your car will survive a whole lot longer.

0h n0 5.0 not everything from SVT is the **** when it comes to speed. Focus and Contour.

The Lighting hauls *** for a 4500 truck, but it's not extra special fast(expectly off the line, they are the ***** to launch). I think I 99+ GT with mild mods could take one.
