Cool Accent beats a moded Integra, hehehe...

I'm driving my winter beater, a Hyundai Accent,...

This Integra with Kungfu wing, clear tail lights, 5 inch fart can muffler screams by... it's not clear if it is a GSR (VTECH) because he does not have badges...

To make a long story short I managed to put myself beside him on a red light.

We both launch (figure of speaking) our front wheel drive killer front wheel drive sowing machines (hehehe). I redline my Accent on every gear and finally get my nose in front at about 60MPH...

The guy looks at me like, what are you doing racing against my rice machine with your **** box. I laugh and think, damn if I'd have my stang, I'd leave some rubber on his licence plate, just about know.

Why do you bother racing from light to light or even modifying the car if it can't beat a **** box Accent???

Some kids these days... hehehe.

Nice job. You experience sounds very similar to many of mine, except I smoke them in my 98 Escort ZX2.

Some Hyundai Accents had a dohc 1.6 in them. They werent too bad for an econo import. Good kill, by the way there is no H in VTEC

Alltough the Accent is nothing close to my stang... I still think it is a decent econo box.

It's fast enough to have fun... and yet not fast enough to kill me on ice and snow.

Like I said a great winter beater, but I can't wait for summer to be the Lizard King again.

did you have your traction control on when you ran the 13.6 in your mustang?

Traction control has never helped me down the line... It cuts engine power when you are spining way to much.

Now with that said, On that 13.69 run I had forgeten it on... (it defaults to on when you start the engine)

The light (TC) never came on though on that run, I had a perfect launch and shift into second.

The car had been running low 13.7 all day without it.

FUBAR, no?

Cool

Hey, Lizard King, good kill!! What state are you in again? I've been wanting to test you and your new baby. All in fun of course!! Like I've said before, if these new GT's are that fast, I may be buying one real soon. Oh, how do you get pictures to show up on here? I have a few for the masses out there to take a peek at. Peace, out!!

the reason i asked you about the traction control is because i had read an article with a guy running 13.6' with the traction control on, i think it said he was launching at 3600, the car was all stock, i was impressed seeing as how there only rated at 260hp
