Please!!
Someone Reply,
could i use the stock 5.0 intake, speed density, injectors... until i can afford new ones?
I am thinking about this because i can get an old 351 for $200 Canadian (about $.02 us right now)
i would also rollerize the engine (so it uses roller rockers, roller cam...)
any help apprecieated

From what I understand you will gain about 50 hp right off the start and no you cannot use your stock intake; the lower intake for the 351 is wider and I don't think the headers will clear either. You will also need a new oil pan.
The speed density will give you problems so you will need a mass air conversion.
Yes you can use your stock fuel injection.
The t-5 will hold up as long as you are not too abusive on it but any time your power shifting a stock t-5 you take a chance on breaking it.

You will need a new lower intake, MASS AIR, new fly wheel, new distributor, new oil pan, and new headers. Those are the main and expensive ingredients. Your 5.0 seems to be making pretty good power.

Also converting that 351 to roller is going to cost you about $400.

Skyman, It wont cost me anything to rollerize the engine cause my moms friend did it to his 351w & didnt cost him a thing!!
he fabricates his oun parts, he made a twin turbo bit himself using a pair of mitsubishi turbos he got for $50. he also offered to help me make a toubo kit for my stang.

Would a trick flow "351" fuel injection intake work?

if you guys tell me EVERY part (engine mounts, flywheel, bellhousing,, oil pan, distributor... & what kind)
i will get the 351 by the end of summer

also no one said i need a different hood, do I?
thanks

The Ford Motorsport/SVO catalog has a picture showing the 351 being 3 inches taller than the 302 from oil pan to valve covers.

You need drop motor mounts that are move expensive. This will allow you to keep the 351 under your stock hood. If you want all the parts lists and the tips email me, I have been researching this swap myself and I know qutie a bit about it.

i dont think you will need to get the drop mounts i did this to an 86 lx and i put a 79 351clevland in it i just used shaker motor mounts, a bit stronger. you will run into problems with the steering, i had to do a little coustom work on the headers to get them to fit. I used the stock hood!
