Wink How much power does my coupe have?

I'm new here but i would like to know how much hp my stang has, & possible 1/4 mile time? I have an 89 coupe with a 351W with new pistons, cam, stock 5.0 heads, stock 5.0 headers with 2 flushed cats, k&n 9" cone, 80mm mass air sensor, 70mm tb, upper cobra, GT40 lower, 190lph pump, 30lb/hr injectors, stock 2.73s, custom 2.5 H-pipe, with dynomax race mufflers, & 4"-24" long tips. I don't know where the 351W, came, & pistons came from because I bought it with that in it allready. This engine used to be in a 79 capri but I'm pretty sure those cars never came with the 5.8. The cam was changed like 5 times so I have no clue what the numbers are for it. Hope to hear something soon.

If its a stock cam, maybe 280 bhp. Good for mid 13's

You have to get some decent heads or at least some port work. They must be killing you at high rpm! Stock gears as well, that hurts. Changing those two things will make a huge difference. I agree with saleenGTS on the numbers.

I agree with saleenGTS and mustang17, your heads are killing power at all RPM and you need a set of headers and gears too. I have GT-40x and I need bigger heads. I can't even think about small heads on a 351. Everything else looks good in your sig, if you have heads and headers and maybe a cam that you know the specs on I bet you would be in the 350 to 400 range

89 LX Supercharged DSS 357, 11 lbs Powerdyne, Downs Box intake, ported GT-40x heads, lockwired, Crane Cam 1.6 rockers, Crower cam, Oil cooler, Moroso oil evac kit, Taylor 10mm wires, MAC 70mm T/B, 30lb injectors, Vortech fuel rails, Pro M 75mm Mass air, Vortech T-Rex Fuel pump, 255lph intank pump, K&N, Cobra R radiator MSD6-BTM, Lakewood bellhousing, Tremec Trans, Pro 5.0 shifter, MAC headers and X-pipe, Dynomax race mufflers. Dyno at 556hp to the wheels.

Without knowing the cam, I have no idea. If you don't know where the 351 and cam came from it's just impossible to know just how mismatched that combo is.

Stock 5.0 heads are weak on the 5.0, on a 351 they are gonna be chokers.

I really doubt you're making 280hp at the flywheel with stock unported E7's. Not to mention stock 5.0 headers? Ouch. Unless it's cammed decent I wouldn't expect you to get more than 250hp out of it.

Who knows, that thing could have a weak *** 351W from a mid 80's Crown Vic making like 180hp.

Just cause it's a 351 does not mean it's got power.

Agreed with "Unit 5302". 250 hp is about right. Regardless of what cam grind you have, the heads are a major restriction and will pretty much void any benefit a performance camshaft has. With a set of performance heads such as Trick Flow's you should expect about 300hp at the flywheel.
