3000gt goes down
I ran into a black 3000gt vr-4 with the big spoiler on the highway yesterday. THere was a guy driving who appeared to be 40 or so and some girl in the passenger seat. I pull up next to him doing about 70 and look over at him. He's got this goofy smile on his face and he starts pointing foward. I guess he wants to race. I put it third and waited for him take off. He goes and pulls on me slightly up to 80 and then I start to catch up to him. By 120 I was one car length ahead and I let off. He continued and passed me and then he let off. Before I turned off at the next exit I honked and waved at the guy, but either he didn't see me or he didn't care.
I have been trying to find 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the vr-4's. I found one web site that said 2000 vr4, 0-60: 5.0, 1/4: 13.4. Does that sound accurate?

Cool, I remember x-mas eve i posted on one too, i ran a silver vr4 some dude and his chick, about 60mph-115 i pulled him good, i slowed down and he passed me up with his brake lights on, it was a nice kill, I think 1/4 mi times range from 13.5-13.8's they are heavy, thats why around 60 mph i jumped on him, i know my aunt had one with 18in rims and awd, that thing wold fly, some aren't as fast, as some arent even turbo, the vr4 is a tt im pretty sure. good kill, i was thinking of an a-trim myself, how do you like it?

nice kill
if it was a twin turbo and all wheel drive, it would have been cool if you coulda ran him from a dead stop. almost all awd cars are real heavy aren't they? NICE KILL. keep them coming.

Coupe5oh,
I love the a-trim. I would have liked to get an s-trim, but being on a tight budget I didn't think it would be worth the extra grand. You can also upgrade the a-trim to 8psi for $600, but there are other things I need to do first like open up my exhaust. The a-trim is also easier to install if you are going to do it yourself. Vortech said 4-5 hours to install the a-trim, but thats only if you really know what your doing. It took me like 15 hours to get that thing on, but I sure learned a lot. I think the s-trim is supposed to take 8 hours to put on according to Vortech.

Those things are really fast off the line because of the all wheel drive. I raced one a few months back and he killed me off the line but both times we raced I went flying by him when I caught traction.
Good race! congrats on your win.

To tell the truth I am glad I didn't race him from a dead stop, especially since I havn't mastered the 5.0 launch yet. I usually get excited and just spin the crap out of my tires.

Sup all,
I heard that a 3000GT VR-4 with awd and TT has like a 1.6 60' Time? My dad has one and once she gets going she hauls like a mofo but till then all you can do is wave. Steven
