Another ricer in my rearview mirror
 

It happened again. I was coming home from work yesterday,while sitting at a light between work and home,what do I see but a ricer pull up next to me. The car was two tone,white with blue trim, with a huge wing on the trunk capable of lifting car up like the wing on a jet. Anyway, I let the car get a little ahead of me just to see the kind of car it was. On the driver side rear was the word "scope",WTF is a scope? The only thing I could tell for certain was it definitely was a ricer. The tailpipe was a minimum 4" wide and it sounded like a lawnmower with something wrong with it. I looked over at the next light and both driver and passenger were looking at me and reving there engine at me. I decided to play with them a little, the streets were wet from all the rain around here, so I couldn't hook up like I wanted to. The light turned green and with my rear tires spinning, I was still pulling away from him at a good pace. When my tires finally grabbed the road,he was only a small dot in my rearview mirror. I slowed down for the next light and he got into the left turn lane, both guys were giving me the evil eye, don't think they liked being showed up like that. All I could do was laugh and point. Just another ricer sucking exhaust fumes!!! Later!

So apples to apples my Vtec engine makes 90 horsepower per liter. Your Mustang makes maybe 60?????

Why don't you pick on cars that are in your category. Twin turbo Mitsubishi 3000's, Twin turbo supras, and Twin Turbo Z 3000's?

I can beat all these with my Mustang, plus most Z-06's and every Z-28 or TransAm you want to feed me. I also beat new Cobra 4.6 liter engines by over two seconds.

But I could get my Ciivic in the 10's and still get 20-25 mpg. Where would that leave you????????

jees buddy, i dont think you had to jump all over the guy like that jim. He was just stating that he beat a worthless piece of crap. It is too much fun not to talk about it. That car in your pic below your name is awesome by the way. I have a 69 mach 1 that is just waitin to be restored.

Your overall know it all tone is irritating. On the street its run watcha brung it isnt his fault the guys car was slow. That ricer could of ran 10's for all he knew.

You remind me of another know it all thats no longer here. Obviously you assume that every car is stock.

no way in hell you would beat my cobra by over 2 seconds. You would have to run an 11 flat.

Quoting HP per liter is a ricer excuse for losing. Who cares how much HP per liter you have if your getting your @ss kicked.

Jim, I think you missed the point of the post. While I am not trying to sound rude or condisending, this is what I got from mongo.

mongo pulls up to a light driving, up pulls this guy with a bad *** additute thinking he's the **** cause his car has a big fin, custom coffee can exaust and whatnot. So this wannabe starts reving his engine like he's all that saying he wants to race. mongo takes the bait and races, totally destroying the ricer.

Now how you came up with all this technical jargan as what an amazing technical marvel asian cars are it holds no relavence to the race, the guy in rice-mobile asked for a race and lost. It's not mongo's fault the other guy has a slow car.

I think everyone just said what i have always noticed about you Jim. You seem to know alot from experience but you come here showing a stuck up know it all attitude.

besides Mongo raced the normal stupid *** ricer boy trying to think he is badass :rolleyes:

he might have ment that he can take z06's while they were parked on the side of the road?

I think the guys been hanging around the magazine racks a little too long if you catch my drift :) He still hasn't offered to take the challenge of racing my nova. First he calls it ugly, but he won't take his Z06 killer and race me? :rolleyes: :confused:

Was wondering how long it was going to take to see these posts...I was impressed at first .:(

I think I'm going to start carrying a power inverter and an electric weed-eater in my car. So the next time some ricer revs on me, I'll stick the weed-eater out of the window and rev back at him. Think that'll piss him off?

I guess he isnt gonna respond....
