The Batmobile: Muscle car, Sports car, or Rice?
Hey, who makes the batmobile anyway? Ford or Chevy, or perhaps Chrysler? You think the batmobile could take a Viper GTS-R or McLaren F1? Any 1/4 mile or top speed stats for the bm?
Well, I haven't seen any here running around in Augusta yet, but it's on my hit list. ----------------------------------------- '79 Mustang Coup w/ 4" Cowl Stock 5.8L, C4 w/ shift kit Holley 750 cfm, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake 1 5/8" MAC shorty headers, Al driveshaft 2.5" Off road H-pipe, 2-chamber Flowmasters Front: 225/60/15, Rear: 255/60/15 Eagle GT II Weld wheels (15x6;15x8), 8.8" Rear w/ 3.55s 14 x 4” K&N air filter (getting the Xtreme setup someday) "Red, thou art my companion. it might have been one of the other batman movies, but it was actually two impala chassies welded together. and yes, it was the V6. the car was too big to be a stingray. topped out around 25 if i remember correctly. all show and no go, so it is rice.

the original Batmobile was made by George Barris.
he also did the Munster's vehicle, the beverly hillbillies', and many, many other one of a kind vehicles. i don't know if he designed the more recent versions, but i suspect as much. rippling musclecar! |

Lincol Futura in the original Batman TV series. originally a concept car, purchased by the TV studio to use in the show. replicas may be powerful, but the ones used in the movies were not. sorry. for a powerful movie car, look at mad max. that blower was fake, but the 351C wasn't.
