Default Beating up on a Bolt-On 5.0

A buddy of ours drives a 95 5.0 with 3.73's, cold air, headers, chip, catback, and shifter.

First race, me vs him from a roll. He hits first, we're even for a sec, and I start to slowly pull on him for a sec till the light ahead goes yellow. There's traffic, so we can't go from a stop. We get to the next place to go from another roll. This time I hit it first, and my auto kicked down from 4th to 2nd, instead of 4th to 3rd like the time before, so I beat him pretty handily.

He wants to go again vs. me, but I motion for him to pass so he can get ahead of me and race my brother, Paul, in the cobra who has been following us. He passes me then my bro passes me (goddamn that cobra sounds unbelievable at speed!) and they line up and go from a 50mph roll. Paul pulled on him slightly. Next, they line up and go from a stop. Neither one gets a good launch, and the GT missed 2nd! So the cobra straight walked him. All in all, the outcomes were largely expected, but it's still fun to mess around on a nice afternoon!

Sounds like fun. Do you know what any of the cars run in the 1/4?

The GT ran a best of 15.0@93 stock.

My stang ran a 14.4@97 with pulleys and an Xpipe and a 2.3 60'

The cobra is a track virgin.

Nothin' like playing around with other Stangs. I need to get in on some of that action - I haven't had a decent race in weeks!
