Tubbed Camaro wants some of the BEAST
Hey guys, need some advice here. I had my car on the trailer the other night on my way to take it to my buddy's house because he has a bigger garage and more room for me to store my car. So I decided to cut by the local hangout. There's alot of people there and I notice this Tubbed 67-68 Camaro sittin kinda by itself. I find the owner and he said he'd like to run my car. Thing is he wants to run on the street!!! My car isn't street legal anymore...So should I wait and run him at the track or run on this ol backroad that's about 3 miles worth of straightaway?? He wants to run for $50. So what's your guys opinion?? He runs 6.90's in the 1/8th. But I'm going to give him a two car length jump. Let me know!!!
Thanx Eric

go for it
I would go for it. If it is a actual back road, just drive it on the bed until you get there. Then stomp his butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get it on camera. |

If it's a backroad, it probably has dirt and gravel on the surface. Traction will probably be a problem for both of you. It won't be like at the track with VHT to make it sticky (I'm assuming you have slicks). I'd try to get him to run you at the track on street night, if it was me. Most tracks will set the tree to give him whatever head start that you think is fair.

Hey guys, I think i'm going to wait and run him on the track. I've spent too much money on my car to go lose it in 5 seconds on the street. But i will indeed try to get it on video. 1Bad89, no $50 won't even afford my gas.lol But i can use the $50 for somethin else.lol like a good victory dinner!!! lol
later Eric

Just make sure you have enough room to deploy that parachute on that back road
