Post Boxter

Im coming back from my hockey game when I hit a double left turn with a new boxter. We make the turn, look at eachother and know its on. We hit the first red and wait. The light changes and I spin till 4 grand He gets perfect traction and I do mean perfect, just a little chirp and he's off with a 2 car head start. I finaly hook at 4 grand and reel in a car in first. Hit second and he still has a car on me. Hit third just the same. He's not pullin and Im not gainin. Im pissed because I know I could have beat him so when we get to the next light I give him a thumbs up and tell him he has a nice car (which he did). I ask to go again and he nods yes. The light turns and I take it easy this time and only spin for a sec. As soon as I hooked up I put 2 cars on him in first gear, by the top of second he quits knowing he's not going to catch me. I slow down and he passes me without a look or anything and wont slow down to talk or go again. Redemtion is sweet.

Man, good kill. It is funny how a guy can be nice when he wins, but an a$$ when he loses.

I think people just get pissed when they spend a lot of money and get beat by what is to them 'a lesser car'.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It realy feels horrible when you lose a race because of traction. Especialy when you KNOW you can beat them. Does anyone know the hp or quarter mile ratings on these? Im not sure if it was a Boxter S or not. It was black with chrome rims and the single center exhaust. I have heard that they run high 13's to low 14's but Im not sure. My friend rented a regular model Boxter a few months ago. They're pretty quick and handle like a dream. I have been wanting to race one since he rented it.

Hey Lizard, I dont know if you read it in the other post but I wasnt doubting that you ran a 13.6 at all. I was using you as an example of how some cars are just quicker than others. I had my doubts untill I saw your videos but now I totaly believe you.

Thanks man,... I could not wait to get that video on the system. I was getting a lot of heat for these claims.

The Boxter no S is actually pretty slow... 14.8 by Motor Trend, which rates my car at 14.0...

The S version is a way better car. It actually pulls low 14 by most magazines and I don't have a doubt that it can be driven in the 13 zone.

Never the less, you just made someone that spent to much money feel like a dumbass.

Do you think he'll mention the second part of that race when he speaks to his friends??? NNNNOOOOTTT!~!!

Thats ******* hilarious Sky. He's lucky he didnt try anyway. Lizard, This must have been a Boxter S then because it was the cleanest and the quickest one I have seen yet. The one I my friend rented wasn't near as fast as this one. If the regular ones hit 14.80's and I was hitting 14.60's when I was stock...it was probaly an S model. Do you know the hp ratings for the two Liz?

Yeah, what everybody else said.

Also, glad you redeemed yourself, he probably thought he would "smoke" you again. Otherwise, he probably would not have taken the bait the second time.

Yeah, I spun REAL bad the first time. I dont think I have ever launched so badly. He didnt see me pulling him once I caught traction or he probably wouldnt have raced again. Im glad he did cuz I was realy realy pissed off at myself.

Probably an S, cuz the other one is a dog. The S has red brake calipers and a dual exhaust in the middle...

Damn people with cell phones. They just don't pay attention until it's too late. I'm sitting at a light when a 00' white corvette pulls up next to me I was about to make a right turn but I said to myself "There is a God!" He's blabbing along on his cell phone while I'm throwing some revs finally he gets off the phone. He gives me a nod so I thought it was on throw the c4 in ratchet action and some stupid *** car crosses the red light and it gives us green with this dumb *** right in the middle I kinda lost my sences and I guess he did to because he didn't take off and then at the next light he say "no" I might have gotten smoked but it would have been great to see if I had what it takes. I know it was an auto with everything stock. I've beaten the late 80's models. I just wanted to see what this guy had. Very dissapointing and the worse part I was late to pick up a chick it would have been worth my while if I had raced the guy.

It wasn't an S since fastang said that it had a single center exhaust and not the dual center exhaust. Good kill.
