Cages\rollbars??????????????????????
How much does a good cage with pin door bars(so you can get in easy and take them off)cost and can you get them in yellow, or black with yellow pads and also how much do they cost to put in?I final question do you have to put padding in or do you recommend it?
Thanx for the help and suggestions ------------------ fast93gt50@hotmail.com BASSANI X PIPE, CRANE IGNITION, TAYLOR WIRES 3.73'S, MAC COLD AIR KIT, PRO 5.0 SHIFTER, MARCH UNDERDRIVE PULLEYS |

Fast,
Do you want the cage to be drag legal, or do you want it for safety? Just so you know, a roll bar with removeable side bars doesn't do jack for chassis stiffness, and the bars themselves in the event of a roll are only as strong as the pins holding them in. I'd much prefer a standard 6 pt rollbar that is all WELDED in... unless it's a daily driver that you just need to be legal to run your 1/4 times. ------------------ Neal 69 stang 351C/4sp |

Anyone know the aproximate price installed for a weld in, no pin door bars, 5 or 6pt roll bar? I think I'll need one if ever get my car down to a 13.XX since I have a convertable, and I can use all the chassis stiffening I can get.

A hardtop mustang to be NHRA legal must have 8 points welded to plates welded to the floor (full frame cars 6 points). swing outs are legal to 10.99 and possibly quicker but the officials frown upon it. My 8 point cost me $1100 and took 3 days to complete (16 hours). Padding MUST be on the door bars and around the bars near your head. That's all I can remember. A Super Comp racer welded mine in. If anyone caught the Hot rod TV with the Toyota with the air adjusted wheelie bars, he is the one who did that car. Ken's Kustom Chassis.
